A few weeks ago I cleared a space in my robe for all my jewels. Hooks for the chunkier beads, my vintage depression glass dishes for the odd brooch, or costume ring. And the crowning jewel, my new Cara Mia Sienna Jewel box, there are so many different compartments and places to stow all your precious and maybe not so precious but sentimental jewels. My dear cousin is receiving one as her 21st gift, something she will treasure for many years to come. My friends and family have put their orders in and it got me thinking that this truly would be a girls best gift this Christmas. Author : tonicgifts What I see Out My Window... My favourite blog is definitely Anthony McCune's what I see out my window. http://whatiseeoutmywindow.blogspot.com/ I posted my first view in September, I am looking forward to posting pictures of my view at different times of the year. I have long found myself staring out of my window, and I love to look at other peoples view - from all over the world. Look at my view

I never imagined that his Aussie fella was such a tender hearted Dad. I bought this book at the first opportunity from that interview laughed at my own recollection of my folks calling me 'Little Miss Independent', yes I really can remember. My brother was born when I was just 2 years and 10 months, I remember being at the hospital and rubbing his cheek! The real beauty in the book is the love Andrew has for his daughters independence, I don't know that he will enjoy it when his daughter is fourteen! I always feel for Dad's with little girls, there is such a great love between a Dad and his little girl - then she becomes a teenager "Arhh, Whatever!" I do it Andrew Daddo
All parents, aunties, uncles, friends can appreciate this beautifully written and illustrated book.... There's nothing she can't do. This charming picture book for the very young perfectly captures a child's determination to be independent - at all costs. Andrew Daddo's beautiful story, coupled with Jonathan Bentley's delightful illustrations, will touch the hearts of all. Andrew Daddo thanks his youngest daughter for 'I Do It'. Says Andrew 'She's a beautiful, headstrong three year old who has always been very good at exerting her independence. She can, as the book suggests, do it. Anything, everything - whether it's getting a glass of milk or choosing her clothes or going for the most colourful (and heaviest) bowling ball - she does it. It's what I love about children of this age.... that they can and may well try just about anything. Having said that, it's not a story of self-empowerment. There is no moral here, no message and certainly no lesson. It's just about a girl who thinks she can, and to me, that's as beautiful and perfect as every three year old can be.' Andrew Daddo has written thirteen books for children, all of them have been enormous successes. When Andrew isn't writing or enjoying family life, he is one of Australia's most popular television personalities, currently working on 'The Great Outdoors' Andrew lives in Sydney's northern beaches with his wife and three children. Jonathan Bentley lives in Queensland with his partner and two children. He worked as a freelance illustrator for 12 years in England and Australia before joining the Courier Mail as an editorial illustrator. Review: Every parent can relate to this book and children will love it's fun and cheeky nature. ABC Books Author : tonicgifts Amazon RSS Feeds |
